We have a great deal of interest from Dental Assistants across the area, in wanting to further their education in dentistry, and become an EDDA. In response to this overwhelming desire from DA’s like you, we have developed a new curriculum to increase your knowledge and capabilities in dental assisting.
This EDDA program will elevate each assistant’s position in the dental profession, and allow the graduates to command a higher salary and experience greater satisfaction in their career, utilizing their new skills.
The Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) is the dentist’s right arm, taking significant responsibility as a member of the dental health care team. Assistants greatly increase the efficiency of dentists in delivering oral health care.

Expanded Duties Dental Assisting careers are expected to grow within the dental profession. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor, “employment of dental assistants is projected to grow 25 percent from 2012 to 2022, much faster than the average for all occupations.”* Now is an exciting time for new professionals entering the field!

According to Salary Experts, the average expanded duties dental assistant (EDDA) salary in the United States is $43,861 or an equivalent hourly rate of $21.

Our 7-week program allows you the time to learn more expanded skills than other similar courses. We give you a deeper dive in our curriculum to set you up for success. Not only will you learn restorative dentistry you will also learn how to apply sealants, temporary crowns, bridges and much more.
